Fiber Mill
Our process and bulk rates
Our lead-time is currently around 12 months. Fiber production prices include the following unless otherwise noted - tumbling, washing, picking, dehairing, carding, spinning, plying, steaming and finishing (skeins or cones). Prices do NOT include skirting, cutting of fiber over 7" long, additives & blending, dyeing, skein tagging & shipping. There is a minimum of 3 lb. incoming weight per run. Sizes from 2-Ply fingering to 3-Ply chunky (maximum of 3-Ply) for $37/lb. based on finished weight. (Huacaya alpaca & sheeps wool only, see order form for pricing of other exotics.) We also offer a sock single for commercially knit socks. Please email or call if you have any questions.
Roving or batts: Dehaired $20/ lb. based on finished weight
Felt: We offer both needle felt sheets at $45/sheet and wet felt sheets at $40/sheet. They are approximately 3' x 4' in size. The fiber is NOT dehaired prior to running
Core Spun (rug yarn): This is $19/lb. based on finished weight. This fiber is NOT dehaired prior to running
Dyeing: Price is based on the incoming weight at $15/lb. We only dye fleeces, not yarn. You can also purchase your blending material from us and have it dyed to your needs. See form for pricing and available shades on the form (exact colors are not guaranteed).
Bulk Fiber Processing: While we will do small orders (3 lb.), we do offer discounts on bulk orders exceeding 500 lb. To achieve "bulk" weight you are rated on incoming weights; however you are invoiced on finished weight. Bulk rates must be agreed upon, and all fiber must arrive at the mill within a 7 day period. Please phone or email for pricing if interested.
Sock Yarn for socks: We are able to make yarn from your fiber for you to send out to be knitted into your own line of socks for your shop. Please contact us for details and pricing.
We do not use Lenospin on our exotic fibers. We strive to produce a smooth, slub free and chemical free yarn without any knots. A yarn that is safe on the environment and the people using your yarns.
